RLC’s outtrips are critical events where students, and staff, immerse themselves in nature, demonstrating the grit and fortitude we require to succeed in life. These trips help our students develop resilience, leadership skills, and a profound respect for the environment while experiencing some of the most beautiful landscapes Ontario has to offer.
Each outtrip is led by experienced faculty and guides, ensuring the highest safety standards while encouraging students to step outside their comfort zones. Whether it's paddling through a calm lake, hiking a difficult section of trail, or camping under the stars, our students build bonds, learn practical outdoor skills, and gain confidence through every adventure.
What to Expect
Outtrips at Rosseau Lake College are integral to our experiential learning philosophy. They are not just about adventure—they are about growing as individuals and as a community.
Group Size: Small, focused groups to ensure personalized learning and safety.
Preparation: Pre-trip briefings cover gear, route planning, and skills.
Safety: Trip leaders are certified in wilderness first aid, and each trip is planned with thorough risk management.
