Health and Safety

The health and wellbeing of our entire community is our utmost priority. Rosseau Lake College is a small family-like community where the health and wellness of individual students is observed, monitored, and supported through the circle of care provided by Teachers, Mentors, Houseparents, and Coaches.

Students at RLC can find support and access to health care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A school-wide team is set up to support each student's mental, physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.

The close-knit environment allows for comfortable, safe conversations to occur without the fear of judgement. If an issue arises that requires more support than our circle of care is able to provide, a mental health professional from Parry Sound Family Service is available. Medical care is available at local hospitals and clinics in Parry Sound, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Students who require medical care will be taken to the Nurse Practitioner in the village.

Shaun Beaulne, Health Services Lead, is available to answer health and wellness questions.
