Canadian Team Mathematics Contest
On April 5, a team of six students from RLC travelled to the Canadian Team Mathematics Contest held at the University of Waterloo. At the event, there were 36 teams from different parts of the country, from New Brunswick to British Columbia.
The competition had three different components. In the first one, the members of the teams were solving problems individually. In the second part, the team members were able to collaborate. The third part included the relays, where one student’s answer to a question was needed by a teammate to solve the next question.
After the contest, there was an opportunity to listen to a half-hour lecture given by Dr. David McKinnon, Professor at the University of Waterloo.
It was a fun event enjoyed by everyone, it was also a great learning experience.
Thanks to RLC to provide the opportunity for a group of students to be part of this great event!
