The Rosseau Lake College School Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Hookey as the new Head of School. Mr. Hookey’s appointment as Head of School is effective July 1, 2008. He succeeds Joe Seagram who will be taking over the role of Headmaster at King’s-Edgehill School in Nova Scotia in July.
Mr. Hookey’s academic credentials include a Master of Education (Admin.) University of Toronto, Bachelor of Education from Brock University and Bachelor of Physical Education with minor in Business Administration from Brock University.
Graham brings a wealth of experience to Rosseau Lake College including 19 years as Head of School in three independent schools. He is currently Head of School at Marywood-Palm Valley School in California. He has also been Head of Meadowridge School (K-12) Maple Ridge, British Columbia and Montcrest School (K-8) Toronto, Ontario.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to work with the community of Rosseau Lake College, a return to my Canadian and outdoor education roots,” says Graham, who began his teaching career as an outdoor education consultant in Peterborough County.
The school extends a warm welcome to Mr. Hookey and his wife Donna, his three sons in university, Garrett, Cameron and Mitchell and their Golden Retriever, Whistler.
