Rosseau Lake College is seeking a full time computer teacher/information technology technician for the September 2008.
Rosseau Lake College (RLC), established in 1967 and located on Lake Rosseau, Ontario is a co-educational day and boarding independent school for students in grades 6 – 12. RLC is non-denominational and of the 150 students enrolled at the school, approximately 20 percent are international students. The academic program at Rosseau Lake College prepares students for entrance to university or college. Courses offered are at the university or university/college preparation level. A balance of academic, athletics and outdoor pursuits prepares each RLC student for success in later life.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the information technology continuum for the Foundations Years Program (grades 6 – 8), possibility of teaching of computer courses in Grades 9 and 10 as well as assisting faculty, staff, and students with the operation of computer software. Other duties include coaching, mentoring, tutoring and being an active participant in all facets of boarding school life. The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm, energy, strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills as well as a great desire for working collaboratively to develop a vision with regards to the direction of information technology within the school community. An interest in the outdoors would be beneficial. Experience with co-educational, boarding school environments would be advantageous.
