Rosseau Lake College provides guidance services to assist students in making informed and realistic career choices. The RLC curriculum is enhanced with university visits, career days, entrepreneurial seminars, guest speakers, and field trips. Monthly meetings are held for students to assist in setting academic goals and to reflect on achievements. Guidance and mentoring services are available to provide confidential "one-on-one" counselling.
Many services are available to assist students in planning their secondary-school courses:
- involvement in Grade 10 career classes
- academic planning to assist with course selection
- exploring post-secondary programs and interests
- application assistance to post-secondary institutions
- panel discussion with recent RLC graduates
- annual education plans monitored by mentors
- implementation of successful learning strategies
- workshop sessions such as organizational skills, note taking, study habits
