Georgian Bay, September 6-9, 2007
Immediately after Labour Day the students depart for a five-day expedition on Georgian Bay. Traveling by individual sea kayaks, four groups made up of White Squall leaders, students, and RLC teachers will be island hopping each day among the 30,000 wind swept islands in Georgian Bay. Evening campfires and daily fun in the sun-dappled water make this trip memorable and a great way to create new friendships along the way. Each student will experience a four-hour solo and use their time to reflect in their journals. The emphasis of this outtrip is placed on the students' responsibility for themselves and others, leadership, respect for the environment, goal setting, self-evaluation, and enjoyment of the outdoors.
