Niagara Escarpment, May 24 - May 27, 2008
Designed for beginner rock climbers, this trip will teach students the skills and techniques to safely climb rock faces of the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. This trip will give the students confidence as they step out of their comfort zones and reach new heights. After a satisfying day of climbing, students will prepare a delicious meal and share an evening around the campfire. Throughout this trip themes such as respect, responsibility, self-reliance, and inclusion of peers are emphasized. Other topics covered include pre-trip planning, teamwork and problem solving initiatives, setting and achieving both personal and group goals, and evaluation and recording of experiences through journaling and debriefing.
